Carol Magambo
UCABC President

With a passion for community development, Carol brings to this Board a strong background in strategic planning and leadership with a proven track record in institutional transformational change.

For the last ten years, Carol has worked in both private and public post secondary environments.

Currently she works in a managerial role as the Assistant to the Associate Dean Academic at Simon Fraser University in BC. A position she has held for several years.

Carol has held a variety of positions that include: teacher, Employment Counsellor, Advisor, Consultant Coach and Mentor and through these occupations has developed empathy and understanding towards the challenges faced by immigrant populations. However as an optimist and an immigrant herself who has had her share of challenges, Carol sees the potential of the Ugandan community together with the opportunities that Canada offers.

Carol's mantra in life is to make a difference and as the new President she plans to work relentlessly to establish a strong Board that will facilitate community engagement.
