Celebrating the 47th Uganda Independence Day with the Vice President of the Republic Of Uganda, His Excellence, Prof. Gilbert Balibaseka Bukenya

If you think there's something wrong with the world, it's your job to fix it. It's not someone else's responsibility. If you think the world can be made better, go do it. Love is seeing other people's needs and meeting them. Says the President!

To be the change you want to see in the world, you don't have to be loud but however, you have to be committed at being the inspiration to the people so that they can even change themselves.

Ugandan Soccer Team

On July 12 and 13, 2008, Uganda participated in the 14th annual African Nations Cup of BC soccer tournament that was held in Burnaby, BC. The tournament was organized by the African Canadian Soccer and Cultural Association.

The Honoray Counsel for the Republic of Uganda, John Halani has been nominated and voted into the 75 finalists for 25 top Canadian Imigrants award. Please click here to vote him into the top 25 Canadians. Lets put Uganda on the Canadian Map for good. As some of you may know, John Halani as been instrumental in helping the Ugandan Community here in British Columbia and back home in Uganda.

AGM, Elections, Dinner and Dance

AGM, Elections, Dinner and Dance,
March 07th, 2009

On March 7th 2009, Ugandans and Friends of Uganda in British Columbia held their Annual General Meeting, Executive Board Elections, Dinner and Dance at Samosa Garden Restaurant 3502 Kingsway, Vancouver, BC. The day started with the AGM at 4pm and the executive elections at 5pm. This was then followed by a delicious buffet coupled with appetizers, 8 course menue, dessert, and a complimentary beverage to go with the meal.
